Paranoid

Not all suspicions come to fruition. Of all the unfounded thoughts we have, there are few that reveal the true intricacies of our human nature.

As far back as memory allows us to return, we can see how we were wrong to do certain things. I once stole money from a found wallet, returned it to the store where I found it. Only to spend this ill-gotten cash on things that brought only temporary pleasure. "Thou shalt not steal". This not only applies to currency or physical items, but to many other things which we cannot see. Time is
something you shouldn't steal. "Live every day as if it was your last." It's difficult to do this if you have a 9 to 5 job. Most people don't want to sit in a cubicle on their last day.

"Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Luke 12:33-34

God is willing to give us everything. For us to allow Him to pour out His spirit upon us, we need to empty our cup so that we may receive His blessings. This means not trusting in human frailty, in our bank accounts. These things are temporary, we must trust in The Eternal.

"Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" John 11:25-26

God will not leave us. We can choose to leave Him. But no one can take us from Him. It is only through our weakness that we fall into temptation. For in The Lord there is no weakness but strength. Unlimited and freely obtainable. If only we pray having faith.

Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt... also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." Matthew 21:21-22

In the book of Micah, God said he will "hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea." This is the mountain above referred to. With prayer and faith anything is possible. We might not see it as such, with our human limations, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26

Aim to place your treasure in heaven, friend. Fast and pray. Pray without ceasing. That your faith may be fulfilled. Pray with me that our prayers may ascend to The Lord as sweet incense.

"May my prayer be set before you like incense;
may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice." Psalm 141:2
