Thoughts on living

Life is something to be cherished. Something special. We have such a wonderful gift. Being able to breathe, without the aid of machines. Being able to walk without crutches, speak without machines. These are taken largely for granted. Recently, there was a portion of a documentary, in which dark-skinned children were shown with bloated belly, and curious shy smiles. These children sometimes even lack water to drink, let alone food for what's left of their family.
Life on this planet wasn't planned to be this way. From its genesis, this planet was a paradise, entrusted to our race. But we, like most other things we touch, ruined it. In the garden, man was perfect and immortal. No hunger, no disease, no death. Now, because of the tempter's deception, and our acceptance of his fallen leadership, here we are. Through one man [Adam], sin entered the world, so through one man [Jesus] we are all granted the gift of salvation.
Think about something. Think about how many times today you've complained about something. Just today. How many times have you felt like you have nothing to stand on, like if you're life is worthless. How many times have you thought, you've not got enough money, enough food, enough love in your life. Ask yourself how different life would be for you were you not born in this time. If you had no access to a computer, if you had no home to live in. Forget having a cellphone, car, running water, even warm sheets in which to sleep. We have so much, yet we cherish little. We are so blessed, and yet we feel neglected. We have the company of heaven, and we feel alone.
